I refer to the 1999 Annual Report of the C&AG, Chapter 16, Public Enterprise. The Report states that Minister for Public Enterprise paid £800,000,000 into a Board Telecom Éireann (BTE) Pensions Trust fund to discharge all the Minister’s future obligations in relation to the pensions arising from reckonable service prior to 1 Jan 1984, for staff who transferred to BTE from the Civil Service on 1 Jan 1984. Under FOI Act 2014, please provide a copy of the Actuarial Report or any other Report or Memorandum relied upon by the Minister to support the transfer of £800,000,000 into a Board Telecom Éireann (BTE) Pensions Trust fund.
