Following the suggestions from a Newstalk investigation in 2016 Marriage equality referendum of people being registered to vote in two locations, e.g., at home and at university, I am seeking to identify what, if any, steps were taking to ensure that these rumours were false. Can you please let me know, was the register of electors for this local authority cross-checked against the other registers in other local authorities? And, if so, how many people were removed from the register n foot of a dual registration.
