Plan 2026-2030

To date, the implementation of actions under the SMP has been overseen by a Climate Action Taskforce, namely the SMP Leadership Group. Reports detailing progress on the 2022-2025 Action Plan were published annually by the Department of Transport.

Under this new Plan, the Leadership Group’s oversight function will continue, and progress reports will be published on an annual basis as before. A mid-term review of the Plan will be carried out in 2028 to refine targets and delivery dates for actions due to be completed in the latter half of the period covered by the Plan.

Goal 1: Improve mobility safety
