Given all of the information presented to us in relation to traffic management options since An Bord Pleanála refused permission for the N2 Slane Bypass in March 2012 , I call upon this Council to: 1. Conclude that there is no appropriate traffic management alternative to an N2 Bypass for Slane as the traffic management options that have been presented to us and put on public display clearly show that all such options are impractical and/or ineffective in trying to improve road safety and traffic congestion in Slane village and across the wider road network. 2. Recommence work on a scheme which will provide for an N2 Bypass of Slane village with a view to reapplying for statutory approval as soon as possible 3. Immediately seek the necessary funding and support from the NRA for such a scheme.
