I would like to make a request of the local authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2014. My request relates to successful prosecutions taken by the Authority under the Waste Management Act 1996. I would like to make a request of the local authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2014. My request relates to income received from measures designed to protect the environment, this is a matter in the public interest. I seek: 1. A itemised report from the Agresso system for all income received by the Council under the headings E01 [Landfill operation and aftercare] and E02 [Recovery recycling facilities and operations] as well as the associated sub categories eg E0101, E0102, E0103, E0199, E0201, E0202, E0203 and E0299. This should include all relevant fields captured in the FMS including the customer name, amount, date, transaction description etc. The request should cover the period from January 1, 2014 to the present day. Under Section 17 of the Act I am seeking this information in electronic form and in a machine-readable format – ie xls, csv or similar (not pdf). I am happy to refine the wording of the request if it reduces unnecessary work load for the local authority. I would draw attention to the Code of Practice for the operation of the Act which deals with simple or straightforward queries of electronic datasets.

As a result of an earlier request for records under the Freedom of information act, I understand that “a complaint was received regarding littering in Moycullen on Wednesday at 7.20am when a member of the public dumped a bag of waste into a litter bin adjacent to the Forge Bar on the 29th March 2017. The complainant stated that the vehicle used in the offence was (Reg No). I hereby make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for the following information: 1. The reasons for the decision to issue me a letter on 11 April 2017 by registered post 2. A statement on Galway County Council’s general policy and practice in dealing with complaints regarding lettering; 3. Is it standard practice to issue a notice under Section 18 of the Waste Management Act to an alleged offender without any prior contact to notify the person of a complaint and invite their comments? 4. Has the council any policy or practise to determine whether or not complaints are malicious or erroneous? 5. What steps, if any, were taken to corroborate or confirm the complaint e.g. checking cctv, checking the bin in question – which is a small on-street bin? 6. Did the complainant state the make and colour of the vehicle in addition to the registration number? If not, was the information subsequently cross-checked with the complainant?

When a person passes away in sudden circumstances the Gardai in conjunction with the Coroner’s office order the remains to be transported from place of death to University College Hospital Galway for Post Mortem. I wish to receive copies of all tender bids received from, and awarded to, funeral directors in County Galway who provided this undertaking service between 2014 and 2017 in the following areas of the county: Oranmore, Barna, Spiddal, Furbo, Moycullen, Oughterard, Claregalway, Corofin, Tuam, Headford, Craughwell, Gort, Loughrea, Clarinbridge and Kinvara. In particular I would like to know the price they charged the council per body collected and transported to the morgue in University College Hospital Galway. Does the council award contracts for the burial of homeless people in the county? If so, could I have copies of these tender bids from 2014 to 2017?
