By pressers, I mean press opportunities where the minister(s) would make time in their schedules to answer questions from the assembled press. By interviews, I mean one-to-one interviews between the minister(s) and a media or social media outlet, whether that is on radio, television, podcasts, online or a newspaper publication. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2014, I wish to request details of business mileage claims made by staff using their own vehicles for official work purposes across the Irish public service. Specifically, I am seeking the following information for each of the last five years (latest rolling five years available): • Total kilometres claimed • Total Euro value of claims reimbursed • Where available, a breakdown by Department/agency • Where available, number of claimants or vehicles • Where available, breakdown by vehicle type (e.g. car, motorcycle, electric/hybrid, etc.) I would appreciate it if the data could be provided in Excel or CSV format where possible. This request is made in the context of the Government’s stated objective to significantly reduce vehicle emissions by 2030 and the need for improved transparency around business mileage patterns to support both cost efficiency and climate policy. If the Department does not hold this information centrally, I would request details of: 1. What level of mileage claim information is collated at central level, and 2. Which Departments or agencies hold this data individually and would need to be contacted directly. Thank you for your assistance.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, 2014, I wish to request access to any record which shows the total amount of money spent by your office / department on lights, light fittings, light shades, non-standard bulbs, or other lighting- related purchases. This request can be limited to - 1. purchases arising since 18 December, 2024 (the first sitting date of the current Dáil; 2. equipment / goods purchased for use in rooms in government departments occupied by ministers of State and members of the cabinet; and 3. equipment / goods purchased for use in rooms in the Oireachtas occupied by senators, TDs, ministers of State and members of the cabinet; It can further be limited to exclude expenditure which was genuinely routine in nature - e.g. replacement of blown bulbs, and to exclude any replacement / work which was undertaken exclusively on safety grounds. Although you are required by the FOI Act to disregard any reason for a request under the Act, it may help to know that I am hoping to identify expenditure on lights / lighting which arose following a request by any member of the Oireachtas. I am not looking for ‘any and all’ such records - a single figure will satisfy this request. I am am also not looking for the names of any requesters - that request may come later.
