I wish to apply for the following records. A letter from the Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces to the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence on July 6, 2023 regarding events at McKee Barracks on June 25, 2020. Following the completion of the Mohan report into events at McKee Barracks on 25 June 2020, and reflecting the very serious issues highlighted in the report, the Tánaiste sought assurances from the Chief of Staff that the matter of military sanctions would be reviewed further. The Chief of Staff subsequently provided the Tánaiste with a written response, setting out the sanctions imposed following the 2020 event and the additional actions taken after the publication of the report.
